Desert Star School first opened its doors to students in the Avondale Elementary School District in 2002.  Since that time, our campus has grown to a preschool through 8th grade campus.  Our school vision is "thinking, learning, growing . . . empowering students who shape tomorrow".  We work as a community to provide every child learning experiences and opportunities so that they can reach their greatest potential.  

Desert Star is proud to be a Leader in Me School. Leader in Me is a whole-school improvement process based on the idea that everyone can be a leader.
